This year is BRIT’s 30th Anniversary and we are celebrating on May 13 with a SUPER Prairie Day, a day-long festival designed to highlight the beauty of the North Texas native landscapes. Through a series of family-oriented, interactive activities and demonstrations, we showcase our extraordinary native grasses, wildflowers, and vegetation. BRIT invites (free of charge) like-minded organizations to this one-day festival as we all work together to highlight for the visiting public why our native resources are important. This year we will be welcoming back the Texas Discovery Gardens for a presentation on Native Prairie Reptiles and the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center with their Birds of Prey Show along with a host of other exhibitors and musical performers like NBC's Season 8 performer, Matt Snook, and Hill Country's own, Hartley Hall, and up and coming singer songwriter, Amber Leigh White. New this year we’re adding some very exciting and new fun activities for the whole family this year at Prairie Day from Pet Adoptions, a Petting Zoo, a Fire Truck, Climbing Walls, and even a solar car! You might want to check out Prairie Day webpage for an update! So much to see & do!
